The Secret of our Lord

Psalm 25:14  (KJV) The secret of the Lord is with them that fear Him; and He will shew them His covenant.

Merriam Webster Dictionary (2018) defines secret as:

I. Kept from knowledge or view : hidden

While is nothing new under the sun, there are truths and things kept hidden from the knowledge and understanding of humanity. Whatever we feel we understand, we feel we are able to lead. control, or destroy.  For this reason, our God hides those who worship Him in spirit and truth, in plain sight. He allows us to walk among the wicked and those who desire our destruction, yet they are unable to set a target upon our lives; we are always changing without changing, as we live in Christ (John 3:8).

II. Marked by the habit of discretion

Our God does not reveal the deeper truths of His Kingdom to those who prove foolish. The foolish messenger/ambassador misrepresents whomever sends him/her, by speech, behavior, and appearance contrary to the speech, behavior and appearance of the person who sent him/her. We see this in today’s church, individuals declaring they speak for a holy (morally excellent) God, yet practice sin and degradation.

These foolish individuals seek to know the future and secrets about others, through communication with the dead, monitoring, and familiar spirits. They practice divination, rather than legitimately seeking the heart and mind of God. The end result of their maneuvering is murder, theft, and destruction in the lives of others, as fleshly and the demonic purposes are feed (self-promotion, lust, greed…).

III. Working with hidden aims or methods : undercover a secret agent

Our God’s thoughts and ways are so much higher than our thoughts and ways. He does not tell us everything, knowing in our human weakness, we involve ourselves and get in His way. We end up doing what WE think is best.

Sometimes He sends us into situations as His undercover agents. He uses our mouths, hands, hearts, and feet to deliver His Love and Truth, deliverance and healing. He IS God.

IV. Revealed only to the initiated

As Psalm 25:14 makes clear, our God reveals His secrets to those who trust and respect Him. When the fruit of any person evidences that they neither respect, nor trust God, the Truth is all he or she knows comes from some other spiritual source. Our God knows those whose hearts truly belong to Him (2 Timothy 2:19).

V. Designed to elude observation or detection a secret panel

Our God is SO much God, that He uses darkness as His covering and cloak (Psalm 18:11). Our God is Creator of all, the Invisible God and we are in Him! Our God has the authority and power to make darkness hid us from darkness! SELAH! A classical example is His use of Rahab (the harlot) to hide Joshua’s spies (Joshua 2). He is so much The Rewarder (Hebrews 11:6) that we find Rahab in Jesus The Christ lineage! What a God we serve and love!

Our God unfolds His secrets to those who trust and respect Him.

The Power of our God’s Covenant
The All Mighty Creator God cut covenant with humanity, indicating He will give His all, His life for us. He gave His all, in the Person of Jesus The Christ, His Promise, His Word in human form. He does not simply want us to win, He has ensured our victory, if we respect, honor, and trust Him, and we accept the Truth He has revealed in Jesus His Christ.

Trust, respect, ask, and receive
Beloved watchmen, remember this Truth, our God will give the wisdom we need and ask Him for, if we believe He will. He also reveals His secrets, if we trust and respect Him (James 1:5).

Trust, respect, ask, and receive the secret of our God!
