Our God reveals His plan for us to live in agreement with Him: Genesis 1: 27-28
Verse 27: He created humanity in His own image and likeness (both male and female)
Verse 28: (1) He blessed humanity, (2) He charged us (both male and female) to be fruitful, to multiply and replenish the earth, and (3) He gave us (both male and female) dominion (reign, rule, subjugate; authority to tread down, commanding influence over; the privilege to exercise control over) over the earth and its contents.
WE ARE NOT TO EXERCISE CONTROL OVER ONE ANOTHER; Our God’s intent is that humanity live in agreement with Him, that we walk and are led by His Holy Spirit and Word; and therefore, His Pure and holy Love would control our interactions with one another. Imagine, if all humanity walked in agreement with our God’s Word, by His Holy Spirit of Love; peace would indeed be the spiritual climate of the earth. (Galatians 5:22-23). As long as we think, believe, speak, and act like our God, we get His promised result or answered petitions.
The POWER of the Principle of AGREEMENT
Our God reveals the Absoluteness of His Blessing: Genesis 11:6-7
I. The people are one (united, in agreement) in heart, understanding, purpose, vision, goal, …;
II. They have one language (saying the same thing);
III. Because of these two things, there is nothing they cannot accomplish.
This blessing (gift) is absolute and without repentance (Romans 11:29). This works for good and evil (We must ask our God to make us mindful of who and what you agree with. Nimrod and company wanted to build a tower to the throne of God (sounds like lucifer; Isaiah 14:12-14). Why would Nimrod and company not be satisfied with dominion and looking like God in the earth (they were tainted by the first Adam’s failure to agree with and honor God as the Ultimate Truth; Genesis 3). They believed a lie and suffered.
Our God reveals the dimensions of humanity’s authority in the earth
Jesus opens Matthew 18 telling us we must become like little children in our belief and trust in our God. It is impossible to love and esteem our own abilities above God’s and simultaneously walk in agreement with His mind and nature. Our God is Holy (morally excellent in thought, word, and deed; 1 Peter 1:15-16) and thinks so much higher than we do (Isaiah 55:8-9). In Matthew 18:18, Jesus reveals powerful Truth about our God and the authority He has given us. He reveals how much our God respects our authority in the earth. He responds in accordance (in agreement) with our choices:
Verse 18: Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in Heaven; and so whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in Heaven.
* Bind: forbid, lock down, arrest, imprison, prohibit, tie, declare to be improper and unlawful
* Loose: allow, unlock, untie, declare lawful
One translation tells us that whatever judgment we render, He agrees with
Our God created us in His likeness; our words (like His) are creative (Proverbs 18:21). Let us be mindful to judge all things with His righteous judgment, for we will give account for the things we say and do (Matthew 12:36; 2 Corinthians 5:10). He so respects the authority He gave to humanity, that He agrees with our judgments; we have what we say (what we speak from our hearts).
Why is Agreement with God and one another important to the Church of Jesus The Christ?
Psalms 133 Where the spirit of unity (harmony of heart; agreement of purpose and goals) dwells, heaven’s commanded blessing is answered prayer, or manifestation of petitions.
Matthew 18:19 That if two believers (or one believer and God’s Word) shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they ask, it shall be done for them by our Heavenly Father. Whatever the Church of Jesus The Christ appears to lack, we have access to His power of agreement, His faith, and that privilege of petitioning our God for the manifestation all we need.
WE OBTAIN WHAT WE NEED WHEN AGREE WITH OUR GOD!
Do we agree with 1 John 5:14-15 (KJV)?
This is the confidence (certainty, assurance, firm trust) that we have in Him, that, if we ask any thing according (in agreement with, in alignment to) to His will (His way of doing things), He heareth us: 15 And if we know that He hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of Him.
Agreement with our God carries His guarantee of His promised service!
Do we agree with Mark 16:17 (KJV)?
17 These signs shall follow them that believe; In My name (Jesus) shall they cast out devils (exercise dominion over satan and darkness); they shall speak with new tongues (conversation will agree with God); 18 They shall take up serpents (dominate and utilize those things that seek to dominate and utilize them); and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them (will be keep safe from the schemes and traps of evil); they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover (carry a healing anointing).
Do we agree with:
Philippians 4:13 (KJV) that we can do all things through Christ (Jesus and His anointing) which strengtheneth us.
Philippians 4:19 (KJV) Our God shall supply all our need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
1 Peter 2:24 (KJV) Jesus bore our sins in His own body on the tree (voiding every curse against us), that we, being dead to sins (in Him), should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.
Isaiah 55:3-7 Jesus suffered rejection and hatred; He suffered sorrow and grief, He was afflicted with sin and sorts of wickedness at the hands of Roman soldiers. Do we believe it was the plan of our God that He was wounded for our disobedience, bruised for our immorality and sin, that He was oppressed and punished for our rebellion so that we might have peace and be whole (spirit, soul, and body).
Hebrews 11:6 We must take our God at His Word; we must agree with Him to please Him, understanding He is who He says He is, that He can, has, and will do as He promises, and He rewards us when we seriously seek to know and understand Him, His nature, His ways, His authority, and His power.
When we truly agree with our God, there will be proof. The Fruit of His Holy Spirit will be present in our speech and behavior, and because we agree with our God and walk in His Word and Spirit, we will have answered petitions (answered prayer). We must renew our thinking by learning His Word, applying what we learn to our lives, so faith and agreement with our God can be built (Romans 12:1-3).
We must ask ourselves if we truly agree with our God. When we do, we will see revival of His authority and power moving in our midst and throughout the world.
